On 20 September 2019 in Brussels, the Circular Plastics Alliance presented and adopted its declaration. The declaration describes the alliance's vision for more recycled plastics in Europe, as well as their commitments for action to reach the EU target to incorporate 10 million tonnes of recycled plastics into products in the EU annually by 2025.

Eight organisations from the European plastics value chain have launched Working Together Towards More Sustainable Plastics, a Joint Call for Action that addresses the four priorities the European Plastics industry is working on. By taking joint action, we want to ensure that Europe can continue to benefit in the future from the contribution of plastics to societal well-being and environmental protection.

Based on the findings of the first two surveys, and backed up by their success and the signature of the Circular Plastics Alliance Declaration, EuPC decided to conduct the third edition of its survey on the use of recycled polymers by plastics converters in Europe in cooperation with Polymer Comply Europe Sarl. (PCE).
