EU plastics converting companies (mainly SMEs) are facing very serious difficulties since early 2015, due to limited availability of polymers. Since early March 2015, the ageing EU polymer industry has declared new Forces Majeures on 66 occasions. This has exacerbated an already tense situation for the EU polyethylene and polypropylene markets and has driven polymer prices to levels not seen in the past decade.

The Polymers for Europe Alliance has launched its online Europe-wide customers’ satisfaction survey to award the best polymer producers for Europe.

Polymer Comply Europe has launched its new service, the EU Policy Follower, and offers for everyone interested a 2-month free trial. This service allows stakeholders from the plastics industry to stay up to date on EU policy and get the proper insight into EU regulations that may affect their companies.
